NHS North Cumbria Talking Therapies

Talking Therapies, formally known as First Step, is part of Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and provides free, talking therapies to adults (18+) in Cumbria. They can help with a range of common mental health problems including mild to moderate depression, anxiety disorders (such as chronic worry, panic attacks, health anxiety and obsessions), mild bulimia, anger or sleep problems.

North Cumbria Recovery College

The North Cumbria Recovery College began in 2021 to provide support for Adults aged 18+ in Allerdale Copeland, Carlisle and Eden.

The college provides group sessions and opportunities for those experiencing mental or physical health difficulties, or those caring for someone who does, to engage in a variety of courses and groups that are focused on increasing understanding, developing skills and confidence to be able to take control of your mental and physical wellbeing

Borderline Counselling Services

There are times in all our lives when we feel unable to cope. Sometimes the causes of these problems seem fairly clear and we know where to turn for assistance. At other times our problems are difficult to understand and we can find no answer from our own resources or contacts.
