We know people forget things, cancelling GP appointments being one of them.
Remember to cancel your appointment if you don't need it.

How to Cancel an Appointment

If you have the NHS APP , please cancel your appointment via the app.

You can call our 24/7 voicemail cancellation line on 01228 588121 and select option 3 - please leave your name, date of birth and appointment details.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to make your appointment.

In future you may wish to register for online services or download the NHS APP to have the ability to Book or Cancel an Appointment, Request a Repeat Prescription, Change Personal Details and View your Medical Records without visiting the practice.

Please take note that by cancelling your appointment well ahead of time it then enables another patient, who may have been waiting a significant amount of time to see a clinician, to book into it.

There is a large demand on appointments at the practice and these appointment's could have been used by another patient if the practice had been informed that the appointment is no longer required. The practice has a policy on patients not attending appointments which in extreme cases can result in the patient being removed from our practice list. Patients not attending appointments will be sent a letter explaining this.
