Nurse Team

Our practice nurses hold surgeries and clinics at all five sites . We have several practice nurses with skills ranging from Asthma to Wound care. Their duties include; long term conditions management, child and adult immunisations, blood tests, ear syringing, dressings, removal of stitches, blood pressure, general health checks and much more.

I started my nursing career in Manchester in 1975 later moving to Bolton where most of my time was spent in A and E. I was a Practice Nurse in Blackburn for 10 years until I moved to Carlisle and joined St Pauls in 2013. My speciality is now childhood immunisations but I continue to undertake all other PN duties.

I did my training in Glasgow and qualified in 1975. I spent a period of time in a surgery ward before moving to south of Scotland in 1981. I worked for 25 yrs in primary care in a community hospital . I came to spmc in 1992 to begin my career in practice nursing, I have developed within this role specializing in ear care and assisting Dr Bone in his ent gpswi clinic for the past 14 years . I also have a special interest in allergies both roles I enjoy very much.
