I have enjoyed being a GP in this Practice (previously as one of the Brunswick House team) since 1991.As I am sure you will guess, my work and that of our Practice has changed phenomenally since then. However, we have remained passionate about constantly aiming to improve what we do and to meet the needs of our patients as well as we can. This can be difficult at times and perhaps we don’t always get it right but be assured we are always ready to reflect on what hasn’t gone well and ensure we do better in future!

It is an honour to have been there to travel the last 26+years with my patients through the challenges life can throw at people and I hope our efforts have made that a little easier where we could. My area of particular interest is in supporting the frail elderly (perhaps it won’t be long before I’m one of them?!) and especially residents in care homes. I also love teaching and seeing today’s learners flourish to become tomorrow’s experts.

Carlisle is a great city and I have thoroughly enjoyed my life since we moved here and have had a great time bringing up my family here since. We face challenging times in the years ahead, as the NHS struggles to keep pace with demand and this needs us all to be ready to change how service is delivered and received. Nevertheless we will continue to strive to offer you a quality of service that is second to none!
