These Receptionists work closely within the clinical team; they provide targeted help to patients to ensure they are able to access the right health care and support in the most appropriate place for them.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed individual, with the confidence and skills to establish a quick rapport with patients. You will need to have proven interpersonal skills, be energetic, hardworking, proactive, as well as being committed to your own professional development. Knowledge of the health care sector and/or local community services would be an advantage.

Starting salary from £8.48 per hour

In order to further develop more innovative ways of providing care to our patients we are looking to recruit an experienced, ambitious, flexible and enthusiastic individual to work within our Practice as a Social Prescriber.

This role will be to develop and manage Carlisle Healthcare’s Social Prescribing Programme.  The successful applicant will work closely with the GP Practice, CVS and other healthcare professionals, to develop a social prescribing programme. The social prescribing link worker will be working with colleagues to identify the needs of the practice population and enable them to then refer  or signpost patients to other organisations , services or community groups as appropriate, some of which may be established as part of this programme.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check – this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
